Nutrition Consulting

Nutrition, translated into food you actually want to eat.

Food can be one of the most practical tools we have for supporting health. My work brings nutrition science into the kitchen—creating individualized culinary strategies for prevention, recovery, changing health needs, and the realities of everyday life.

The Approach

Nutrition science is only useful when it becomes food you actually want to eat. My work sits at the intersection of clinical nutrition and culinary craft—translating evidence-based guidance into meals that are genuinely delicious.

As a Certified Executive Chef and culinary nutrition specialist in private practice for over 19 years, I approach nutrition through the practical lens of the kitchen: ingredients, technique, flavor, preparation, and the realities of how people actually eat. My graduate training in Clinical Psychology and more than 15 years of higher education teaching across Culinary, Integrative Health, and Psychology also shape the way I think about behavior, change, and the person behind the plate.

Whether the goal is supporting recovery, navigating changing nutritional needs, addressing a specific health concern, or simply eating with greater intention, I build the culinary strategy around the individual—not the other way around.

When Food Needs to Do More

Sometimes nutrition is about prevention. Sometimes it is about recovery, adaptation, or supporting the body through a period of greater demand. And sometimes it is simply about understanding how to eat better for the life you are actually living.

I develop culinary strategies that translate specific nutritional needs into real food, real meals, and a way of eating that can actually work in everyday life.

Surgical Preparation + Recovery

Culinary strategies designed to support nutritional readiness before surgery and the increased demands of healing and recovery afterward.

Cardiometabolic Health

Food-forward strategies informed by current nutrition science for cardiovascular health, metabolic health, lipid management, and long-term prevention.

Digestive + Gut Health

Practical ways to support digestive health and the microbiome through food variety, fiber, preparation methods, and individualized tolerance.

Women's Health + Fertility

Nutrition translated into the kitchen during periods when nutritional adequacy, metabolic health, and changing physiological needs deserve particular attention.

Healthy Aging + Cognitive Health

Culinary strategies that prioritize nutrient density, adequate protein, metabolic health, and the pleasure and social importance of eating well.

Performance + Everyday Nutrition

For people who aren't managing a diagnosis but want to understand how to use food more intelligently—for energy, performance, resilience, and long-term health.

This work can stand alone or complement care from your physician, registered dietitian, or other healthcare professional. When appropriate, I'm happy to work within recommendations provided by your clinical team.

How I Work

Understand the Whole Picture

We begin with a conversation about your health, how you eat, how you live, what you enjoy, and what you need food to accomplish.

Build the Culinary Strategy

I translate the relevant nutrition science into food—ingredients, meals, techniques, recipes, sourcing, and practical systems designed around your life.

Put It Into Practice

Depending on what you need, our work may include consultation, menu and recipe development, hands-on culinary education, kitchen and pantry strategy, or coordination with your healthcare team.

Refine as Needed

Some engagements solve a specific problem. Others evolve over time. We adjust the strategy as your health, circumstances, skills, or goals change.

Nutrition consulting at Vitamin H is part of a broader culinary practice—bringing nutrition science into conversation with the realities of cooking, eating, entertaining, and everyday life.

Let's talk about what's working — and what isn't.

I'd like to hear about your goals and what you're navigating.
